SkillFUL, an EU and SDC funded project of Swisscontact facilitated a two-day back to back workshop on Rapid Job Analysis (RJA) simultaneously at two different locations. The RJA was conducted on Food Processing & Preservation Worker (FPPW) occupation and was organised by Griha Sukhan Mohila Samity (GSMS), a private TSP on July 9, 2012; while another RJA covered Electrical House Wiring Technician (EHWT) occupation was held at the Swisscontact, South Asia Regional Office, Dhaka on July 10, 2012.

The fundamental objective of the workshop was to have an open discussion with the market players to verify, share and finalize the job titles, duties, tasks, related knowledge, tools and equipment for both the occupations. Prior to conducting the workshop, the project team reviewed the literature, gathered information from different performers and drafted duties and tasks on FPPW & EHWT occupations.

25 relevant people participated at the workshops including instructors, facilitators, expert workers in the private industries, representatives from training institutes, and entrepreneurs along with the project teams among others. They appreciated the use of a creative methodology of determining and verifying tasks and duties. They further stated that this is an extraordinary, analytical and new technique to analyze occupation which gave them a different perspective of their respective occupation. The participants also assured SkillFUL of their full support and assistance in the future while developing the CBT Curriculums.
