SkillFUL organized an awareness program on 17 May, 2012 with potential female beneficiaries in Chilmari- an outskirt sub-district of Kurigram district. The program was held in Somaj Kolan Songstha (SKS) of Chilmari whereby more than 50 female participants were present. The program was organized to create awareness among local community women to enroll in skills training programmes and inform them on how skills training can help to alleviate poverty. To create interest on skills training among the participants, Falguni Tarafdar, Lead Instructor and Director of Bijoy Tailors and Tailoring Training Center (BTTTC) shared her success story as a female skilled worker and entrepreneur. Training Service Providers (TSPs) under SkillFUL project informed the participants about different skills training programmes available at their training centers and encouraged them to join.
