Project team visits CSOs responsible for implementing project activities at field level

The TARSAN-CSO team recently completed its initial assessment of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) across three regions Nilphamari, Patuakhali and Sunamganj districts. The comprehensive trip commenced on May 2011 and ended during the first week of June 2011.
 

The objective of the visit was to meet officials of the six Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in the project areas and to gather knowledge about their health and other development programmes/activities which are now being implemented in different parts of Bangladesh. The CSOs are namely TMSS, SUPOTH, Speed Trust, ASUS, SWF and IDEA.
 

The project team also assessed the capacity of the organisations in terms of community-based awareness building activities, especially in health and family planning and also visited few of the field level activities of CSOs on health especially maternal and child health.
 

The following team members lead by the Project Manager, Dr. Jafar Ahmad Hakim carried out the crucial task; Dr. Ayasha Siddiqua, Deputy Project Manager, Mr. Khaled Ahmed, Advocacy specialist, Mr. Monirul Azam Khan, Area Coordinator, Mr. Nazim Uddin, Administrative Officer, Ms. Afroja Akhter, Administrative Officer, Mr. Juber Alam Noton, Area Coordinator and Ms. Afroza Akter, Area Coordinator.
