Senior Expert Corps     Concept

What is Senior Expert Corps?

Transferring knowledge and practical experience,
volunteers of the Senior Expert Corps (SEC) are retired professionals who can be called in to assist small and medium-sized enterprises in developing countries and Eastern Europe. Experienced and highly motivated Senior Experts provide immediate on site practical support in solving technical and operational problems. Senior Experts promote occupational and technical skills of personnel and management. Their appointments last a maximum of three months.

The Senior Expert Corps is expanding. In order to satisfy the growing number of requests from developing countries and Eastern Europe, the pool of retired specialists will continue to be increased.

SEC in figures

Since the creation of the Senior Expert Corps in 1979,
Senior Experts have carried out over 2193 missions. Around 600 retired businessmen and women are registered
as Senior Experts with Swisscontact.
